Burkas {puff Pastry Dough}Filled with ground beef
Ingredients:
-1 pound ground beef
-1 chopped onion
-4 celery sticks chopped
-1 puff pastry dough
-salt & pepper
-1/2 teaspoon cumin
-1/2 teaspoon paprika
-1/2 teaspoon coriander
-sesame seeds
-minced garlic
-1 egg yolk
-1 tablespoon honey
-2 tablespoon olive oil
Directions: (preheat oven to 375 degrees F)
Step 1: Sautee onions, celery, and garlic in a pan with olive oil for about 8 minutes
Step 2: Add beef and gently stir, add salt, pepper, cumin, coriander, and paprika. Cook for 10 minutes.
Step 3: Roll puff pastry dough into parchment paper. Slice dough into two pieces. Place the meat in the center of the puff pastry. Fold the puff pastry to cover the meat completely.
Step 4: In a small bowl, mix the egg yolk, honey, and olive oil. Then brush the mixture on the top of the puff pastry.
Step 5: Sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
Step 6: Put in the oven for about 40 minutes.
Step 7: Take out of the oven when the top is brown and crisp. Slice as desired.
Serve with tahini and enjoy!!
